Will I be roughing it?
Is there cell phone reception?
It depends on your provider. ATT/Cingular is very spotty. Sprint works well up in the common area, where you will also find wireless internet, should you need it. US Cellular works well throughout the grounds.
4 days in the woods with no showers? Are you crazy?
No. The shower areas are equipped with hot water. There is also a delightful outdoor shower area.
I'm single. Am I still welcome?
Yes! Single women and men alike are welcome. There are meet and greets in which you can mingle and meet people. There's a bonfire each night, what better way to bond than naked S'mores?
Is it hard to meet others at camp?
We provide several themed parties with ice breaker fun to assist attendees in getting to know each other. Another excellent way to meet people is to volunteer! We have lots of fun 'chores' (ie: driving a taxi, filling and lighting tiki torches, working the registration booth) for attendees to volunteer for. It's a very easy way to meet others.
I'm a swinger, not kinky. Is this a good event for me?
Yes. One of the most fundamental goals of this event is to encourage acceptance, tolerance, and even knowledge within the broad realm of sexuality. Class/Seminars/Demos are geared along three tracks. Kink, Sexuality, and Spirituality. We are BDSM sex positive, and swinging kink positive. Hell, we are really just a positive group. It's all about an atmosphere that crackles with the multitude of possibilities.
I'm solely into BDSM. My partner and I are monogamous, will we be out of place?
Nope. See the above answer. And know that registering at the event is ALL the participation required. You and your SO will not be pressured to have sex with others, or play with others. It's possible it will be offered. A polite decline is NOT seen as rude in this realm.
I'm Gender Queer, Trans, CD. Will I be out of place? I only see het folks on the website.
No. You won't. And no, you don't. Many of the photos on our website show those same sexual qualities. If you don't see it, it's because photos don't show people somehow "being" GQ, Trans, or CD. You see them just being campers, being themselves, and having fun. Hell, we have the sexiest T girl ever on our staff. :)
What's the dress code?
The dress code is as varied as the attendees. Get all dolled up in your best fetish wear, or just throw on some suntan lotion. You must be vanilla appropriate when leaving the property. The local community is very good about leaving us to our wonderland on the grounds, please be kind when you enter their space.
If you are running around nude (YUM!) please be sure to carry a small towel. It is unhygenic to sit on anything without first protecting it from your sexy ass.
Where can I park my car? Can I keep it at my campsite?
We have set parking areas, and will ask you to park there. We do allow you to drive down to unpack and repack, as well as deliver anything you may have gone offsite to fetch. However, for the safety of ALL our campers, cars must then be returned to the parking area.
Am I eating out of a cooler all weekend?
Only if you choose to. We usually have a kink/sexuality friendly food vendor on premises. The campground also has ice available for purchase.
What should I bring?
Do NOT bring firewood. It's illegal to transport firewood onto the site, due to some nasty little bug that hitches rides on it and affects the tree population. The campground offers firewood for sale at a very reasonable price.
Bring all the things you will need for camping, as well as for kinky, sexy fun!
What if it rains?
There is a large covered dungeon area, to go along with outdoor stations we have set up. There will also be several sheltered areas should you need to get out of a drizzle.
I'm really new to kink. Is this the event for me?
Yes! Aside from the fun we hope people have, we are dedicated to education and exploration. From the newest kinkster to the elder statesman, all are welcome. We've compiled a group of the most outgoing, friendly folks ever to hit the kink scene!
How do I 'reserve' a piece of play equipment in the playspace?
You don't! Play equipment is for ALL to use. If it's not in use at the moment, consider it available for your use. We ask that all attendees be considerate of each other with regards to time spent on equipment. While there is no 'time limit', we do ask that folks don't drop their toys at a station and wander off to socialize for an hour. I know you want to make sure you get THAT piece, but an unused station provides SO much less eye candy. And we do do love our eye candy.
I really don't want to stay in a tent. Can I bring my camper?
Absolutely. Be sure to alert Jen EARLY, as there are limited sites that will support an RV.
I really don't want to camp at all. Is there a hotel nearby?
Not terribly close, no. We strongly encourage camping at the campground, simply because the ability to do as you please when you please is something everyone should experience. Hotel information will be provided at your request after registration.
Can I bring my camera?
Absolutely not. Cell phones are also not permitted in the dungeon. One of the most important factors in events such as these is privacy. We want everyone to feel, once inside the gates, that they are free to roam at will. Cameras would greatly hinder that.
How can I communicate with others attending this event?
Once you have registered, you will then use the provided user name and password to enter the Attendees Only Area. Only registered members will be allowed into this area. There, you can post pictures, a profile, seek out play dates, respond to party invitations, or set up your own invitation. This is also the area where the schedule will be available to you. We encourage heavy usage of this area, as it allows you to begin your camp experience before you ever leave your house!
